Down by the river....

We did it! We actually found a picture that we all agree on! It was a cold day....Hunter and I and our fair skin became purple from the temp! I am glad it didn't quite come through in the picture. Hunters' ears may be alittle red. Our photographer (a preschool mom) will touch up any shadow or blemish that we don't like! We had them taken at Howard Ammon Park the day before Thanksgiving! I love the leaves and the river with the ducks! Howard Ammon Park is our favorite park! We loved it before the additions and we love it more now! We were going to bring Bear to have in our picture...but Shane said "No"!!! (I have become the pet lover of the family!) We are excited to get them in the frame! Savor the last few weeks of Fall!!!!

Thankful....but embarrassing weekend!

This weekend was great...except for one moment on Friday! I'll get to that later! So, we had a great Thanksgiving with Bruce and Debbie Harker, Molly and Travis and kids and thier grandparents! The food was out of this world! All homemade...except the rolls I brought! Oh, well.....can't do everthing homemade! We even had paper plates....which is the way to go! I don't like dishes...so that was perfect! I enjoyed the company, as always! I didn't pig out! Amazing!

I am thankful for my family.....and extended! They are all so kind and loving! And, I am thankful for their health!

The embarrassing moment! Shane and I went to the temple Friday morning. I slept in and was in a hurry to get ready! I shoved a piece of pumpkin pie in my mouth and drank a can of Diet Coke! Gotta love that breakfast! I had a slight headache...nothing I couldn't handle! We arrived and got ready! I was feeling excited to sit and ponder and pray. I was praying for my family, me and my primary kids! We began......love the temple! Well, my headache became worse! I started to get really nauseous! I was thinking, " I could handle this...with deep breathing! Not helping! What am I going to do?" We were in the middle of the session....almost ready to move.....when the tingiling and very bad sweats came on!!!! I was having extra spit begining to form in the mouth....you know when you are about ready to throwup! I didn't know what to do???? I felt bad? Never had to leave a session? SO......when we were moving into the other room....I told a matron that I had to throwup! I must of looked terrible! She followed me and I handed her everything, as her and I were running to the bathroom! She was so kind! I felt so much better as I finished in the bathroom! I felt horrible! I waited for Shane to finish! I went home and took two tylenol and slept for three hours!

I now feel for those who constantly battle with headaches!

I need to go to the temple soon!

New Puppies for the Hatches and The Jenkins!!!

I don't know why I am so excited about these new puppies! Maybe it is because I can't have anymore of my own babies? I have been counting down the days for Goldie to have her babies! Dogs only have a 64 day gestation period! I have been reading up on dog breeding and delivery and now puppies! Goldie belongs to Jenkins! One night K called me and said her dog was in heat and wanted to breed her with Bear! So, here are four grown adults watching two dogs breed.....to see if Bear was really doing the job right! The first night....well we don't know what was going on?....it was dark...and we were trying to explain to our concerned children(under the age of 6)that Bear was just giving Goldie a hug! The Jenkins left....and took Goldie with them! All night long, Bear was going up and down the stairs smelling Goldie! He missed(or wanted) her! I called Kand asked her if Bears' girlfriend could come over to play again! Ha! Well, I was busy getting a talk ready and the kids came yelling to me that Bear was stuck to Goldie, and they couldn't get them apart!?!!!! I did not know what to do? I called my farm raised husband and told him to hurry home! That was a lesson to the entire two families! I guess that happens to animals who are breeding properly!!!! Ouchhh, is all I have to say!
So....that was in September....Goldie had her babies on Sunday, Novemeber 11th! K called me and my kids and I hurried over quickly! K is a nurse....so she had it handled! She had not slept for 24 hours and was so tired! I passed the instruments and cleaned up whatever the dog didn't!! Gross, I know! This dog was so calm.....no noise....just gentle pushes.....out came the pups! That is something I wanted my daughter to see.....I let her know that delivering a human hurt a lot more! It is something you want to do when you have a husband to be there with, to hold your hand!
You are wondering why there are no brown labs? Goldies' mother was a full breed black lab and her dad was a golden retiever! Bear is a full choc. lab. So, to get choc. labs.....there have to be a mom and a dad choc. lab! Black is the dominant color! So...that is why there are mostly black labs! Goldies golden puppy even looks more labby than her!
So......two black male labs are available after Christmas!

Zoo-Phonics!

These video clips are found off of Utube. Just to give you idea of what phonics system I use in my preschool cirriculm! The kids love it! It helps mostly with learning the sound of the letter!

Here it goes....another thing I want to do!!!!

Hey! It is November and I wanted to start this in June...but couldn't find time! I am going to do it! Because I want to do it! There are many things I don't want to do...but have to do it! There are many things I have been "Called" to do, but sometimes don't want to do. But, there are simple pleasures that I want to do....and this would be one of them. Yes, I was one of those teenagers that always talked on the phone. And, I am one of those moms' that always talks on the phone! This may be a way for me to cut down on the phone glued to my ear and shoulder while I multi task around the house! It may last for a couple months or maybe years. Let us see how I can balance this into my life?

We are The Hatches.....Hunk o" Burning loves!!!! We are all big and full of love!!!!
We are busy with piano lessons, school for the kids, church, hunting, and work for mom and dad.

I love my job at home! I have a in-home preschool! But, you all know that! Most of you have your little ones here with me! I love to sing, color, learn my letters and numbers, learn how to share and follow school rules!!! So,, the kids just follow me! Ha! I love to get on the floor and play little people with them! I just love to be a kid! I smile and laugh everyday at the cute things they say to me. And, I know alot of the childrens' family secrets! I won't tell!

I love my own children!
Dylan: 12 and responsible
Katlyn: 8 and sassy
Hunter: 4 and determined

My Husband: 3? and hungry!!!!
