I am so excited for my sister'n'law to have finished her book! She has written a true story about her struggle with anorexia when she was a teenager. It is an amazing book and an amazing recovery! I saw her at her worst and now I see her flourishing in her adulthood! See her blog:

We are headed here ~FISHLAKE~
First of all,I can't wait to see Dylan! Looking forward to the Scipio rodeo and 24th parade!
Then..... We will stay in our family cabin for several days and enjoy each other! Daily sched.....Fishing,eating and playing games, maybe sleeping? This is my parents' family cabin, but will be taking Shanes' family to stay!
When I was a kid, I remember....
*fishing off the pier for "chubs"
*kick the can at night
*lots of games
*building a fort in the forest
*hikes with my grandma Rose
*my uncle telling us bedtime stories about "Stuttering Charlie" the lake monster
*Love the quaking aspens!
*Chipmunks and deer
Here is the skirt that Katlyn and I made! She picked out the material and the pattern! We decided to make it a swimsuit cover up! Cute....for her first skirt! It is good to put the sewing machine away though! It was all too consuming! But, I am glad she had the desire to want to sew! I really don't like to! My mother is a wonderful seamstress whom in turn learned from her mother, whom in turn learned from her mother! Unfortunately,I didn't receive the desire to sew gene?!!!! Oh, well! At least I can do the basics! Maybe Katlyn was blessed with that! I am thinking of sewing classes for her!
Happy summer to you all! See you soon! Back to the swim lessons!

When I was fourteen.....Saturdays were RAD!!!!
Me when I was fourteen! Gotta love the outfit and stance!!! My young women leader took this picture for something?
I have been thinking about my days as a teenager.......
*I loved MTV.....it is not like it is now?!!!
*I loved Madonna
*I loved Bannanaorama
*I loved Culture Club
*I loved Erasure
*I loved Depeche Mode
*Summer days spent at Hunnington or Balboa Beach with Linda (best girlfriend)
*Jaunts to Disneyland
*School was basically social time for me! Too bad! I could've learned a few things!
*I loved early morning seminary! I should've listened more!
*I loved mutual! Great friends!
*MOST OF ALL I LOVED SATURDAYS FOR TWO REASONS:
(After I got my chores done, which usually consisted of cleaning the two bathrooms! And my bedroom...which was always a mess!!!) If I hurried before noon........I watched this!!
AMERICAN BANDSTAND!
I had my favorite dancers....I loved to see new hairstyles, clothings and dance moves to prepare me for......The STAKE DANCES!!
My stake had the best dances...not only would we go to our stake....we would go to other stakes' dances. My friends would come over at least two hours before and we would trade outfits and fix each others' hair! Finally we were done primping and off we would go! Gotta have gum!!!! And have extra for the boys!
Back in the 80's girls still got asked by guys to fast dance! We never danced in a group, like they do now?! So....we would walk the perimeter to see what guys were there and stand in our "ask me" pose! We wouldn't stand too close to each other...spread out and look cute??? Until we all got asked!
Our stake would sometimes have a live band...which was soooooo fun! We would dance the night away! Then.....we would all go to "Bob's Big Boy" (JB'S) and have a Diet Coke and french fries! I would usually have to call parents for permission to extend my curfew! Those were the days! I had a fun guy friend that was a great dancer too! (But....now he likes to dance with boys?)

My list of fav ......Musicals!!!
We met my inlaws in Mt. Home Id. to let them take Dylan home with them to Scipio UT.! He will be helping on the ranch for a couple weeks! We want him to do this, but it is hard to have him go! I will miss him! He is such an important part of our family! I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder! He will gain a few muscles while working hard with The Hatch Men!
As for now, I need to think of something that will occupy my mind for two weeks until I can see my boy!
This is what is on my mind lately......
I grew up with a mother that danced, taught dancing and choregraphed many musicals and road shows back in the day! When I was too young to dance, I was the little girl in the corner pushing the stop and go button on the tape recorder. I loved to watch my mother create the dances before the practices and then teach 30+ youth to dance! It was amazing! I foundly remember Music Man, Okalahoma, and Annie Get Your Gun as the Stake Musicals I was involved in! My mother would rent the video and rewind and fast forward until she figured out how to choregraph that paticular number! It is a found memory of mine! I love musicals! I loved watching my mother and her talent that she was given! Roger and Hamerstien will never be replaced.....but the new upcoming musicals are fun and just enjoyable to see! Grease is my all time favorite! I love the new "Ballywood"! I have had this thing about India! I think it is protrayed as a very exotic country that we haven't learned too much about! One Ballywood film is "Bride and Predujice" a quirky musical that has been out for a couple years. I love it! So cute! If you like musicals....rent it! Then last week on SYTYCD, they had an indian choreographer! Katie and Josh danced so perfect to that style of dance!
Take time to remember these great musicals.....click on the youtube choices!
